EditOverview
In order to keep the Solid Edge Wiki as standard as possible, we have the following recommended guidelines for editing and formatting pages.
EditTable of Contents
- If your pages has a lot of content, you should consider using the {TOC} to allow easy navigation.
EditCreating Pages
- Please do not use spaces in page names.
EditEditing Pages
- Always make comments about your changes in the "Edit Comment" box. This information shows up in the version history of the page.
EditImages
- Always upload images into the page's directory. If you're creating a new page, you need to click Save & Continue before Upload/Refresh.
- When loading images that have their origin in the CAD environment the preferred format is PNG or GIF. These 2 standards work best with the typical desktop which has clearly defined shaded areas and sharp borders. The JPEG compressing algoritm introduces stray pixels around borders, making the image blurry. JPG should only be considered when inserting photo-like images.
- Placing an image via the Insert Image is not very intuitive.
- Typically you'll want to use:
- Instead of:
