This page is for new users to the Solid Edge Wiki. If you are familiar with
Wikipedia, then you will probably be comfortable editing pages here. You also need to read our
Editor Guide.
EditHow do I create an account?
If you are not currently logged in, there will be a
Register link at the top of every page. This link will open a new browser window and redirect you to the main site,
JasonNewell.NET. Once you've sucessfully created an account with the main site, you can login to
Solid Edge Wiki.
EditWhere can I ask for help?
You can ask questions in the
Wiki Forums.
EditAre there any pages that I can use to learn the Wiki syntax?
The
Sandbox page can be used for that. There are many good examples in the
Sandbox.
EditHow do I add a Category?
If you have content that does not fall into one of the existing categories, you can request a new category
here.
EditHow can I flag a page as preliminary?
When editing a page, click the
Insert a Snippet button. You can then pick the
Draft snippet. It looks like:
This page is a Draft, its content are not complete and may contain errors.
EditHow do I upload a file?
- Begin by creating a new page.
- Next click "Save & Continue"
- Once you've saved the page, a directory will be created for the page that you can upload files to.
- Now you can select the file from the "Link a local File" button on the toolbar. If you uploaded an image you can embed the image from the
"Image" button on the toolbar.
